Complete Bungalow Renovation in Derbyshire
Daida Group recently completed a striking transformation, turning a dated bungalow into a stunning family home in under 14 weeks. Apart from the existing external walls, everything on and in this property was brand new, with the finished home converted from a 3-bed, 1-bath layout into a spacious 4-bed, 2-bath property that went on the market for £395,000, cementing our reputation as a trusted luxury builder in Derbyshire.
April, 2025: Foundations Began
In April 2025, Daida Group began digging and pouring footings for the bungalow. Many people underestimate the amount of work, and money, that goes into the ground that no one sees. This particular build required 1.7m deep footings, dropping to 2m in places, along with steel mesh at both the bottom and top, all due to a single fir tree and heavy clay soil. Drilling reports and foundation designs were carried out, 170 tonnes of earth were removed, 55 cubic metres of concrete were poured, and steel mesh was installed throughout, at a cost of £25,000 to create the grey outline ready for bricklaying to begin.
May, 2025: The Bungalow Takes Shape
By the end of May, the bungalow was ready for wall plate and roof trusses, and the build progressed steadily from there.
The property hit the market in November 2025, complete with air source heating, solar panels, underfloor heating throughout, and an open-plan kitchen, living and dining room, all hallmarks of the luxury properties Derbyshire buyers have come to expect from us.
November, 2025: Project Completion
The project was completed just before Christmas 2025. All services were laid, and the stability report and tree surveys passed, meaning the plot is ready for a second bungalow to be built behind it. We are currently finalising external material decisions with the council, which we will confirm in the new year.
